Paper & Yarn...

Do you have a "go-to" way that you like to wrap your gifts? Do you like to use bags and tissue paper? or do you prefer wrapping paper and ribbons?
Lately my "go-to" method has been simple...paper and yarn. I have two big rolls of paper- one is brown postal paper, and the other is white craft paper... and instead of ribbon I have been using up my yarn scraps, which gives a sweet handmade look to my packages and adds a cheery splash of color!
If the gift itself is too pretty to cover up... leave part of it unwrapped and add a coordinating flower or trinket (in this case miniature faux fruit:) on top! And, in lieu of cards I have been trying to use up some postcards that I have collected from various trips over the years...I like the personal touch that they add:)

What's your favorite wrapping style? Have anything your stuck on using right now?

  1. Hi Adriane! Love all the nicely wrapped gifts. They look soo cute. I have a ton of gift bags, I'm a gift bag re-user. So as much as I like the look of wrapped presents, I tend to use the gift bags with tissue paper. But Christmas is definitely all about wrapped gifts!

I got all caught up on your recent posts I've missed, you've been busy! Little Hunter looked soo cute at the ball game. And I'm sorry to hear about your Grandma. It's soo sad when the ones we love get older and aren't the people we remember them being. You're lucky to have had such a great relationship with her. I was never close with either of my grandma's.

And most importantly, Happy 1st Mother's Day to you!!! I bet you're looking forward to it. Have a great day. You should stop by and read my Mother's Day post. =)

  2. Hi Adriane, I found you through Delightful Order's link party. I am a sucker for a well wrapped and creatively wrapped gift. I have a friend who is queen of it, much like you. It sure does the trick at making someone feel special. I know it can be a lot of work, but a go-to plan as you suggested sure saves time. I just get caught up trying new things and thinking up a plan is what takes so long. I love the paper you chose here. Really grabs the eye. Hope you'll stop and visit at Quirky Vistas. I'm your newest follower. Hope you'll stop by and follow as well.
